SUMMARY:A Music & Mindfulness Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will explore ways in which music and mindfulness-based self-care practices can: help us to find “still point” of clam in the midst of stressful situations, connect us to our heart-centre, help us to articulate & express our emotions, connect us to the legacies of people who inspire us and give us strength, build community.\nParticipation is encouraged for those coping with grief & loss and for those working/volunteering in the helping professions. Previous experience or training in music or mindfulness techniques is not required to participate. However, if you have had a very recent personal loss or a serious illness diagnosis then please call our office prior to registering: 604-553-4663.\nThis workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Heather Mohan, Registered Clinical Counsellor/Music Therapist, along with Aspen Switzer, Accredited Music Therapist/Community Choir Director from the Camp Kerry Society.\n
